eSIM Activation

Step-by-step guide for iOS and Android

Direct activation (fastest method)

  1. Open the email on your iPhone
  2. Tap on the QR code in the email
  3. Confirm the installation of the eSIM
  4. Activate the data roaming option for the new eSIM

Alternative 1: Activation in settings

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  2. Tap on Mobile Network or Cellular
  3. Select Add eSIM or Add mobile plan
  4. Select Use QR code
  5. Scan the QR code from the email
  6. Confirm the installation of the eSIM
  7. Activate the data roaming option for the new eSIM

Alternative 2: Manual activation

You can find the activation code by clicking on the QR code in the email:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  2. Tap on Mobile Network or Cellular
  3. Select Add eSIM or Add mobile plan
  4. Tap on Enter manually or Enter activation code
  5. Enter the SM-DP+ address
  6. Enter the activation code
  7. Confirm the installation of the eSIM
  8. Activate the data roaming option for the new eSIM

Important notes

Time of setup

  • Set up the eSIM best one day before your departure
  • The eSIM is activated only when you are in the destination country and consuming data
  • After setup, you can keep data roaming disabled until needed

Technical requirements

  • Make sure your device is connected to the internet during setup
  • eSIM activation may take a few minutes
  • After activation, it may take up to 5 minutes for the data connection to be available
